Strategus 속에는 총 33종이 있고, 미국에는 그 중 6종이 분포합니다. 루이지애나 주에는 6종 중 4종이 분포합니다. Strategus splendens (Palisot de Beauvois) 는 미국 동남부에 분포한다고 알려져 있습니다. (Ratcliffe 1976; Ratcliffe and Cave 2017). Kim and Brou (2018) 에 의해 Louisiana State Arthropod Museum 에 소장되어 있는 1958년 6월 10일에 Baton Rouge, LA 에서 채집된 수컷 표본 1점을 기반으로 루이지애나 주에서의 첫 기록을 발표했습니다. 사진의 표본은 루이지애나 주에서 채집된 표본입니다.
